From 18/04/2024 to 24/11/2024 - Events
Until November 24, 2024, the Olivetti Store in Piazza San Marco hosts the exhibition "Tony Cragg. Le forme del vetro", organized by the FAI in collaboration with Berengo Studio. The exhibition celebrates the renowned sculptor Tony Cragg and his innovative exploration of glass as an artistic material.
Curated by Cristina Beltrami and Jean Blanchaert, the exhibition features over 27 glass sculptures and drawings that document the artist's creative process. Among the main works, Arabesque stands out as a tribute to the Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa. This black glass sculpture, crafted with the mastery of maestro Nicola Causin, evokes Moorish tradition and Venetian architectural elegance.
All the sculptures have been created in Murano, using traditional craftsmanship techniques such as lost wax. The collaboration with Berengo Studio has allowed for the exploration and expansion of the potential of glass, offering a unique and innovative vision of glass art.
